CDSFA Dominates in Dubbo - Champions Round 1
Seven teams from the CDSFA travelled to Dubbo for their first round of the Champion of Champions tournament.
Seven teams left Dubbo this afternoon victorious.
In what was a remarkable first up day of games in this season ending tournament, the trip back home is all the more worthwhile for the seven Association teams as they move towards second round games this coming Sunday (21st).
Round 1 Results:
- 12: SASS Strikers Junior Soccer Club (Dubbo) lost to Balmain, 0-5
- 13: South Dubbo Wanderers Force (Dubbo) lost to Hurlstone Park, 0-0 (2-4 pen.)
- 14: Wellington Warriors (Dubob) lost to Balmain, 0-6
- 15: Dubbo (Dubbo) lost to Enfield, 0-1
- 16: Westside Panthers (Dubbo) lost to Balmain, 0-3
- AAM: Orana Spurs (Dubbo) lost to Inter Lions, 3-6
- AAW: Dubbo FC (Dubbo) lost to Hurlstone Park, 2-5
The draw for round 2 on Sunday 21 September is below.
A majority of teams from the CDSFA will be competing against teams from the Sutherland Association with several of the game being played at Sutherlands home base - Harrie Denning Centre.
Blair Park (home of Burwood) will again be hosting a number of "home" games for our teams which is customary for this tournament.
In additional to utilising Blair Park, in a coup for the CDSFA, a night game will be played at Lambert Park on Sunday evening (7:30pm) involving the Association's Over 35 team representative - Leichhardt Tigers.
