Hurlstone Park & Russell Lea Girls, W-League Mascots
On Sunday 14 September, 22 junior female football players from Hurlstone Park Wanderers FC and Russell Lea Women's SC took up the opportunity to be player mascots at the W-League - Sydney FC v Adelaide - fixture at Lambert Park.
The young girls enthusiastically jumped at the opportunity (on short notice) to step onto the playing field with some of the premier female players in the country - and doing so in their own backyard, the Canterbury Association.
