Teams Power into Champion of Champions 3rd Round

After a perfect round in Dubbo the previous week, Association teams continued their winning ways with many holding their place in the tournament and progressing to the third round next Sunday (28th).

Nine will suit up in round three joining the group of teams below that had a bye in the second round.

The Balmain club in particular had another highlight day with three of their teams winning for the second consecutive week.

For Hurlstone Park, in their 90th Anniversary year, their 13s continue the journey for a memorable title and will be joined by the club's Over 30 Womens team in round three.

  • 14: Cronulla Seagulls (Sutherland) lost to Balmain, 0 - 2
  • 15: Gymea United (Sutherland) defeated Enfield, 3 - 2
  • 16: Bangor (Sutherland) lost to Balmain,  0 - 1
  • 17: Strathfield lost to Bosco (Sutherland), 0 - 1
  • 18: Menai Hawks (Sutherland) lost to Burwood, 0 - 2
  • 21: Menai Hawks (Sutherland) lost to Roselands, 3 - 4
  • AAM: Gymea United (Sutherland) defeated Inter Lions, 2- 0
  • 35: Bass Hill (Bankstown) lost to Leichhardt Tigers, 1 - 2
  • 12w: Sylvania Heights (Sutherland) lost to Concord, 0 - 1
  • 14w: Shoalhaven lost to Marrickville, 0 - 2
  • 16w: Shoalhaven defeated Balmain, 1 - 0
  • 18w: Russell Lea lost to Miranda Magpies (Sutherland), 0 - 6
  • AAW: Como West Jannali (Sutherland) defeated Hurlstone Park, 5 - 0

The 45 - Inter Lions, 21w - Earlwood and 30W - Hurlstone Park all had byes.

As we move forward in the tournament a total of twelve teams will continue the quest to be the Champions. Most will need to now get by teams from the Nepean association on Sunday 28 September.
