Tiger Women Come Out Roaring at Lions

Southern Tigers (81) defeated Central Districts Lions (70)

Morphett Vale Stadium came alive Saturday night as the Southern Tigers Women overcame the Central District Lions by 11 points in round 1 of the new season.

With the Lions ahead by 5 points at the first break, the Tigers rallied midway through the second quarter to steal the lead back for the majority of the game.

Tigers centre, Shayde Quintrell, lead the way for the home side, compiling 30 points for the night. In tandem with fellow talls, Haley Bunce (15 points) and US import, Jade Barber (12 points), the Tigers’ offence made life tough for the Lions.
