Lions Roar In Second Half

West Adelaide Bearcats (78) lost to Central Districts Lions (90)

The Central Districts Lions have found some momentum chalking up their second win in a row when they defeated table toppers the West Adelaide Bearcats on Saturday. The win nudges the Lions up 2 spots to 6th position and drops West to 2nd.

A tit for tat first half saw the Lions in front by a whisker with a 2 point lead at half time. They say games are won and lost in the third quarter and in this case it was true. The Lions unleashed a bold attack aimed at overcoming Wests strong defence sinking six 3 pointers in 10 minutes to give the Lions a healthy 14 point lead at the final break. The Lions defended their lead well, letting nothing go unanswered, conceding only 2 points in the last quarter to win by 12.

West Adelaide's Jason Dawson led the game with 24 points and Blake Truslove made a double double with 19 points and 15 rebounds.

Kyle Miller and Jordan Centernera shared top scoring honours for Central Districts with 19 points a piece. Kyle Miller also made 10 assists giving him a double double for the night.
