Round 19 Preview - MEN

Norwood Flames (14-4, 2nd) v Woodville Warriors (12-6, 3rd)

In the match of the round, the Flames can cement a top two finish, if they can defeat the Warriors at Mars.

The Flames are two games ahead of the Warriors in second position, with just three rounds remaining.

Last week, the Flames beat the Bearcats 87-65 while the Warriors were conquered by the Tigers 68-89.

In Round 1, the Flames got away from the Warriors in the second half, winning 81-56.

In Round 10, Adam Miller scored on the buzzer lifting the Warriors over the Flames 78-76.

 

North Adelaide Rockets (6-12, 7th) v West Adelaide Bearcats (8-10, 6th)

With finals out of the question for both sides, the Rockets and Bearcats will be playing for pride at Hillcrest.

The Rockets enter this content on the back of a 59-84 loss to Sturt, while the Bearcats last lost by 22 to Norwood.

In Round 1, the Rockets got the better of the Bearcats, triumphing 81-70. In Round 10, the Bearcats bounced back for an 85-75 success.

 

South Adelaide Panthers (5-13, 8th) v Sturt Sabres (12-6, 4th)

The Sabres will continue their push for a double chance when they take to the court against the Panthers at Marion.

Last week, the Sabres took advantage of Woodville’s loss to Southern moving into a tie for third on the back of a 25 point win over North. Elsewhere, the Panthers made it two consecutive victories, defeating Eastern 69-53.

In Round 1, the Sabres edged the Panthers 82-69. The Panthers came a little closer in Round 10, falling 86-95.

 

Eastern Mavericks (1-17, 10th) v Forestville Eagles (12-6, 5th)

The Eagles will be looking for another win to maintain their hopes of a top three finish when they visit the Mavericks at Adelaide Hills.

The Eagles flew past Centrals 96-88 last week, while the Mavericks suffered a 16 point defeat to South.

In Round 1, the Eagles earned an 88-69 victory over the Mavericks. In Round 10, the difference was slightly less with the Eagles getting up 90-74.

 

Central District Lions (3-15, 9th) v Southern Tigers (17-1, 1st)

The Tigers can officially wrap up the Minor Premiership if they can triumph over the Lions at Starplex.

In a potential finals matchup, the Tigers were too strong for the Warriors last round, winning by 21 points. Elsewhere, the Lions fell by eight to Forestville.

In Round 1, the Tigers got their season rolling with a 107-63 belting of the Lions. There was another blowout between these sides in Round 10 with the Tigers heading home 100-74 victors.
