Warriors Team Work Prevails
Central Districts Lions (68) lost to Woodville Warriors (80)
The Lions have lost their re-match against Woodville and their spot in the top five after losing at home on the weekend.
Woodville Stars Darren Ng and Alex Starling made an early impact with some hot shooting and determined rebounding. The Warriors carved themselves an 11 point lead at the end of the first quarter and the Lions chased but made up no ground for the rest of the night.
Both sides were evenly matched but Woodville had a tiny advantage from downtown sinking 9/22 compared to Centrals 4/18. The Warriors also made the most of any mistakes scoring 18 points off turnovers to the Lions 10.
Chris Clausen had a double double with 23 points and 11 rebounds as did teammate Daniel Carlin with 18 points and 13 rebounds. But the man of the match would have to be Woodvilles' Alexander Starling who scored 19 points and pulled down a game high 16 rebounds. Darren Ng top scored for the night with 24 points for the Warriors.
