Women 27 June

North Adelaide Rockets (11-3) v Central District Lions (1-12)

The Lions will have another go at their second win of the season, when they make the trip to Hillcrest to face the Rockets.The Lions fell by just eight points to Woodville last week – the one club whom they have beaten this season. The Rockets earned their 11th win by defeating South.The Rockets lead the season series 1-0.

 

South Adelaide Panthers (6-9) v Norwood Flames (15-0)

The Flames will attempt to extend their unbeaten run to 16 games, when they visit the Panthers at Marion. The Flames comfortably beaten Forestville in their last match. The Panthers’ have lost four straight games, after countering their 0-5 start with six consecutive wins. The Flames lead the season series 2-0.

 

Southern Tigers (5-9) v Eastern Mavericks (5-9)

The Tigers and Mavericks will be chasing a win that would greatly improve their fading finals hopes, when they face off at Morphett Vale. Both sides are 5-9, leaving them two wins below fifth ranked West, who have played one additional game. The Tigers lost to Sturt last week, while the Mavericks were also on the downside against the Bearcats. The Tigers lead the season series 1-0.

 

Sturt Sabres (9-5) v Forestville Eagles (4-10)

At Pasadena, the Sabres will be gunning for a victory over the Eagles, to cement their place in the top three. The Sabres were successful against Southern last week. The Eagles are coming off a loss to Norwood. The Sabres lead the season series 1-0.

 

West Adelaide Bearcats (7-8) v Woodville Warriors (8-6)

The Bearcats will be attempt to build on their strong recent form, when they go head-to-head with the Warriors at Port Adelaide. The Bearcats won just once in their first six games, but have responded strongly with six wins from their last nine contests. The Warriors win over Centrals maintained their minute breathing space. The season series between these sides is tied at 1-1.

 

June 28

Forestville Eagles (4-10) v Southern Tigers (5-9)

The Eagles and Tigers will play their second game in two days, when they meet at Adelaide Arena. The Eagles will either start the match at 5-10 or 4-11, depending on the result of their June 27 clash with Sturt. The Tigers will be 6-9 if they beat Eastern on June 27, or 5-10 if they lose. The Tigers lead the season series 2-0.

 

Central District Lions (1-12) v Sturt Sabres (9-5)

In the second of the three matches at Adelaide Arena, it will be the Lions and the Sabres hitting the court. The Lions will go into the game at either 2-12 or 1-13, while the Sabres will either be 10-5 or 9-6. The Sabres lead the season series 2-0.

 

North Adelaide Rockets (11-3) v Eastern Mavericks (5-9)

To conclude Adelaide Arena’s triple-header, the Rockets and Mavericks will battle it out for the third time this season. The Rockets will be 12-3 or 11-4, while the Mavericks will either sit at 6-9 or 5-10. The Rockets lead the season series 2-0.

 

 

 

Men 27 June

North Adelaide Rockets (9-5) v Central District Lions (3-11)

The North Adelaide Rockets will be playing for their 10th win of 2015, when they host the Central District Lions at Hillcrest. The Rockets have lost two in a row, but will stay well and truly in the race for a double chance with a victory here. With their loss to Woodville last week, the Lions fell further below the top five. It is looking more and more likely the Lions will miss the finals for the first time in three years. The Rockets lead the season series 1-0.

 

South Adelaide Panthers (8-7) v Norwood Flames (12-3)

The Panthers and Flames will be hoping to continue their excellent form, when they go head-to-head at Marion. Following last round’s win over North, the Panthers (currently fifth) have now won eight of 10, since a 0-5 start. With their win over Forestville, the Flames (now second) are up to 12-3. The Flames lead the season series 2-0.
