Competition structure 2016 Under 08 - Under 10

The competition structure for the Under 08, Under 09 & Under 10 Competitions from 2016 will be as follows:

Under 08: 9 a side - with 3 zones (3 players per zone), quarter size oval.

Under 09: 12 a side - with 3 zones (4 players per zone), half size oval.

Under 10: 15 a side - no zones, three quarter size oval

Under 12: 18 a side - no zones, full size oval.

As you can see there is a natural progression in both the number of participants on the field, and the increase in size of the oval they will play on.

We believe this will help in both player development as well as player retention.

Incident at Rosewater Football Club

The incident that occurred on Sunday 26th July 2015 at Rosewater Football Club during an Under 08 & Under 10 game was NOT football related.

NO spectators or members from Rosewater FC or West Croydon FC were involved in the incident.

Thankfully no one from either Club was injured during the incident.

The incident was caused by two families, NOT in any way tied to either Club, who decided to sort out their grievences between each other unfortunately during a junior game of football.

We would like to sincerely congtratulate both the Rosewater FC and West Croydon FC for ensuring the safety and well being of the kids during what was a traumatic time and something they should not have seen let alone been caught in the middle of.

The League is trying to arrange councelling for the players, parents and members of the Rosewater FC, West Croydon FC and Port District FC. Details of the councelling sessions will be advised by the Clubs to their players and members who wish to use it.

Please donate your OLD footy boots..

The Metro West Junior Football League are happy to support the "Footy Boot Donation" program where you can donate your old no longer used footy boots.

The boots will then be past onto the Yalata Aboriginal Community (SA) for their kids to use and play football.

Comment Guidelines: The SportingPulse Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand.
