Term 4 Junior Hoops Programme
The Junior Hoops activities are designed to assist players to develop their basketball game in a fun setting under expert guidance.
Basketball Hawke’s Bay’s Development Coaches will run weekly basketball sessions in Hastings, Napier and Flaxmere for primary and intermediate school pupils.
Our goal is to give kids the opportunity to develop and refine their basketball skills in a positive, fun and well-organised learning environment. The programs are geared toward fundamental development in the following areas: shooting, passing, dribbling, defence, rebounding, team play, and more.
Each and every participant gets the individual coaching they need to develop and will have an opportunity to achieve the Gold, Silver or Bronze skills awards.
The programme assists the players to gain an improved positive attitude, a greater appreciation for good moral values, and a better understanding of the keys that will lead to their own success. The sport is basketball, but the most important element is the children's overall personal development.
Monday Hastings (Start date: October 27th, End date: December 8th) 7 weeks
Ebbett Park School,
Under 9 year olds 3:30pm to 4pm
9 year old and over 4pm-5pm
Tuesday Napier (Start date: October 28th, End date: December 9th) 7 weeks
William Colenso College, Under 9 year olds 3:30pm to 4pm
9 year old and over 4pm-5pm
Friday Hastings/Flaxmere – Flaxrock (Start date: October 17th, End date: November 28th) 7 weeks Flaxmere Community Centre, Under 9 year olds 3:30pm-4pm, 9 year old and over 4pm-5pm
Cost: Under 9 year old $20.00, 9 years and older $35 for 7 weeks or $10 per session for walk-ins.
Payment can be made by cash or cheque at our office at 96A Nuffield Avenue, Marewa (Mon-Fri 9.00am to 4.00pm) or by internet banking. Our account details are: ASB 12 3144 0177861 01 (use ‘Hoops (venue)’ and your child’s name as reference) or by credit card
