WARRANDYTE VENOM STATE CHAMP WOMEN SIGN CHASTITY REED
Warrandyte Basketball is excited to announce the signing of USA import CHASTITY REED to the Venom State Championship Women’s roster for 2015.
Chastity stands at 6’1 and will add some much needed size and grunt to the young Venom roster. Chastity is a graduate of the UALR Trojans (NCAA Div 1) where she had record-breaking individual and team success averaging 19.6ppg in her senior year. She was a 3rd round selection in the 2011 WNBA draft taken at pick 25 and went on to play games for the Tulsa Shock.
Chastity has just finished a season playing in Israel and will now join the Venom for the remainder of the Big V season.
Warrandyte Coach, Nicole Howard had this to say about the inclusion of Chastity tothe Warrandyte squad;
“It is not every day that someone with Chastity’s talent and experience arrives to your Club. I have a young squad and I believe Chastity is not only going to demonstrate the immense skill she has on a basketball court but will also guide and teach the 6 players I have under the age of 22”.
“Her leadership and knowledge will help them to become the core group of players that Warrandyte SCW can build their future around.
The inclusion of Chastity will be tremendous for the league, for our Big V program and for our Venom Rep and Redbacks Domestic programs. She is going to be someone that all young female players can look up to and we can’t wait to have her step out in a Venom uniform” said Howard.
Chastity will arrive in the next few days and is eager to get on with her first season in Australia.
