VALE – STEVE SOMERWIL
It is with great sadness that the Warrandyte Basketball Association says goodbye to a Coach/Team Manager/all round volunteer and recently appointed committee member, Steve Somerwil.
Steve tragically passed away on Monday 11 January whilst on holiday with his family.
At a pre-Christmas function in late December, I had the absolute pleasure of spending time with Steve discussing our kids, their goals, dreams and “club life” in general. His genuine love of all things ‘family’ rang true along with an un-selfish pursuit of life.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to his wife Joanne and his beloved children Amy, Tim and Mark.
