Dane Bow was the lone offensive threat for Sharks with 15 points.

YMCA sits just percentage behind Christian College after holding off Try Boys 72-65.

Y led the bottom-of-the-ladder Bears by just one point at three-quarter time, but were able to pull away and stay in the hunt for second spot.

The Varley brothers Lewis (21 points) and Emerson (18) inflicted most of the damage for Y, while season campaigner Jordan Hill poured in 16 points.

Veteran duo Marty de Lange (16 points) and Steve Hyland (14) ensured the Bears wouldn’t go quietly.

Pivot City maintained its comfortable lead at the top of the table with a 73-64 victory over Lara.

Guard Nick Kent proved the difference with a career-high 26 points, as Trevor Hartwick (11 points) and James Walker (10) provided the support.

Tim Withers had 12 points for the Giants and Ash Cannan 11 before fouling out.

Despite the loss, Lara is well-placed to claim fourth spot.

Cortney Williamson further enhanced her MVP credentials in women’s Winter Championship with a 38-point burst in Dolphins 101-67 result against Sharks.

The SEABL Lady Supercats skipper knocked down eight three-point shots in her haul, as Dolphins all but ensured themselves the double-chance.

Teammate Ebony Rolph also impressed with 22 points.

Once again Alex Duck (29 points) and Georgia Varley (26) kept Sharks competitive, however the rest of the roster provided just 12 points.

Pivot City all but secured a spot in September with a 74-43 win over Lara.

Pivot star Bianca Cheever proved too much for the Giants to handle as she knocked down 29 points.

Teenage big Lauren Moloney had a solid night with 14 points.

Caitlin Shadbolt was again the mainstay of Lara’s offence shooting 14 points.
