Wellington United seeking Female Players for 2012

Wellington United Seeking Female Players for 2012

Wellington United AFC would like to invite all new and returning players to pre-season training for the 2012 season.

Our club has a great culture, excellent facilities and top level Coaches (two from Argentina!)

We are a club looking to develop International Opportunities J

In 2011, an initiative unique to women’s football, was developed through John Dow (WU President) and Boyd Klap (Founder of the NZ Netherlands Foundation).  They set about bringing a semi-professional female footballer from the Netherlands to New Zealand to play for Wellington United.  This proved very successful and we thoroughly enjoyed hosting the amazing ability of Mariska Kogelman.  We will be looking to make this a reciprocal relationship in the future to provide an international pathway for Wellington United’s talented up and coming players.

We have four women’s teams so can cater for any level!

Comment Guidelines: The SportingPulse Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
