Basketball SA - vacant positions

Over the last couple of months we’ve had a few staff movements created by opportunities internally and externally that has resulted in a few job opportunities opening at Basketball SA.

Our two Participation Officers Emma Flanagan and Phil Hoogenhout have moved on after two years in the role. Emma has taken on a role with the 2015 Masters Games and will follow her passion for event management; which will still see her liaising with us for the basketball component of the Masters through to October this year.  Phil has transitioned from the Participation Officer role to our vacant Coach Development Officer position. Phil is currently assisting David Ingham with the development of the new high performance alliance with Uni SA; as well as a range of state team, talent identification and coaching course tasks. Over the coming months Phil will be focusing on building the core elements of his role, which will be to help build the number of coaches in our system, assist our members with their coaching recruitment, provide development support, and initiate a reinvigorated talent identification program.

We also had our District Referee Coordinator Jen Dorrell transition into the SA Country Basketball Support Officer role.

As such, we’re now advertising to fill three positions – 2 x Participation Officers & an Administration Officer.

In the next few days these positions will be advertised on Seek and also via our website.

Please feel free to circulate the opportunities within your networks and out to the broader basketball community.

Regards

Mark Hubbard
