 Bulleen Boomers Junior Academy 2014

The Bulleen Boomers Basketball Club is proud of the way in which we develop our young players. Part of our development program is Junior Academy – a 6 week training program specially designed for 9-10 year old players who are not currently playing Friday night championship basketball, but are interested in doing so for the 2014/2015 season.

The program is a fantastic opportunity to train with elite senior club players and representative coaches prior to tryouts in September/October 2014.

Big V Season 2014 - Finals

Champ Men Face Sherbrooke in Elimination Final

The State Championship Men's team head to Sherbrooke to face the Suns in an elimination final. The Boomers know exactly how the Suns play, facing them last week in the final game of the regular season which saw them fall short in overtime (100-105) thanks to league MVP favourite Grant Johnson's 46 points.

Bulleen will be looking for big games once again from Thadd Varmall and Captain Liam Norton, while their role players will need to fill up the scoresheet if the team is to keep up with the Suns scoring ability.

If the Boomers are to keep both Suns imports Johnson and Titus Robinson quiet, it will go a long way to stealing this game on the road and progressing deeper into the finals.

The men will be playing this Saturday night at 6.30pm at Belgrave Heights Christian School, if anyone is interested in travelling to support the team.

Youth Women Host Diamond Valley in Crunch Prelim Final

The Victorian Youth Championship Women face a gritty Diamond Valley team at East Doncaster Secondary College this Sunday at 1pm for a chance to play in this year's Grand Final.

The Eagles upset top of the table Dandenong Rangers last week and will still be buzzing, coming off the massive victory. For Bulleen it is business as usual, with home court providing a familiar venue for success this season, most recently their demolition of Ballarat Rush in last week's Elimination Final.

Bulleen have dropped both games to Diamond Valley this season, so it is critical that they get as much support as possible this Sunday, 1pm at home, so make sure you get down to East Doncaster Secondary College to cheer on our girls as a spot in the big grand final is on the line.

Home games of the season are at our new Big V home court - EAST DONCASTER SECONDARY COLLEGE  in George St, East Doncaster, enter off Dyden St.
