New Rules

HBA is bringing in a ruling of no basketballs to be brough into Hilac on game nights. We have a duty of care to players & umpires to prevent stray balls on the courts during games. This will become effective from first game back after school holidays, Monday 6th October. The discussion from the junior meeting went to the board this week, where the decision was made to supply warm up balls for each court so no balls need to be at HILAC on game nights. Signs will be placed around the courts in time as well. Thanks for your support with this. Umpires, committee & administrators will police it if necessary - but we are hoping for club & parental support with this. Anyone bouncing a ball around a court during games may see the ball confiscated until the end of the match or when they are ready to leave the facility. Aussie hoops participants will need to bring their balls in their backpacks & leave with them in the backpacks.

No spectators are permitted to go onto the courts at half time. Again, this is to ensure the safety of others.
