Name Your Team and Win!

South East Queensland’s new women’s national basketball team is looking for a name and you’re needed to help name the team!

SEQ Basketball has launched a competition where all fans and members of the public are able to submit their preferred name.

If your submission gets picked you could win an 'Exclusive Showtime Package' valued at over $1,500!

Entries can now be submitted online here until 6th August: seqbasketball.com.au/nameyourteam

Coach and four-time Olympian Shane Heal said, “Having a standout team name for SEQ basketball fans is a great way for everyone to engage with this team that is providing a focus in the community for young women, all aspiring athletes and the broader community.

“We’re delighted to give our fans the opportunity to give us a name.

“With the recruitment of Australian players Bec Allen, Rachel Jarry and Erin Phillips, we are determined to be a serious contender in the league and are going to challenge the top teams for the championship.”

The prize package includes: Apple iWatch sport edition, exclusive court side seating opening night for you and three others, meet and greet with the coach and players, merchandise package for you and three others as well as a drink and beverage package for the duration of the match.

The 2015/16 Wattle Valley WNBL season commences in October 2015 with the team to play its home games from the Logan Metro Sports Complex in Crestmead.
