What a year we’ve had!

In 2014 we topped 3800 members; split into just under 400 teams both juniors and seniors who played over 6000 games at Auchenflower Stadium.

We hosted the Under 16 Boys State Championships and the pinnacle of basketball in our country, the NBL’s showpiece pre-season tournament, the NBL Blitz where all eight teams converged into Brisbane to play against each other right here in our backyard.

The event was hailed as the “best ever Blitz” by team owners, management, head office, players and coaches.

The venue also hosted the BQJBC, SBL and QBL seasons which saw both QBL teams bow out in the semi-finals in Mackay, the SBL enjoyed finals success also, and, the BQJBC finals in April next year are expected to feature several Brisbane Capitals junior teams.

As huge as the year was, there is no way things would have gone as smoothly as they did without our tireless volunteers. The backbone of our association is made up of those people who give of their time and effort week in, week out for the betterment of our club.

To the Scoretable officials, the referees, the mums, dads, partners and family members who support the players throughout their games and of course the coaches, managers and club administrators also deserve a huge thank you!

The Stadium is now closed until Sunday 11 January for Round 1 of senior competitions.
