Molten Waratah League Championship Men MVP Isaac Turner!

Sutherland Sharks import Isaac Turner in his second season in the League has won the League's top prize being named the 2016 Molten Waratah League Most Valuable Player Award for the Championship Men’s division. Isaac who plays in
the guard position was the League’s third top scorer with an average of 26.4 points per game. His best on-court performance was on April 9 where he scored 40 points against the Hornsby Spiders.

Molten Waratah League Championship Women MVP Renae Garlepp!

Illawarra Hawks Renae Garlepp has been voted by her peers as the league’s Most Valuable Player for the Championship Women’s division.

Renae led the league is scoring amassing 324 points with an average of 21.6 ppg. With 4 double-doubles Renae has averaged 41.4% accuracy from the field and deadly at the free-throw line at 79.1%.

Division 1 Men

Molten Waratah League Div 1 Men MVP Gage Daye!

The basketball Wagga Wagga scoring machine Gage Daye has gone back-to-back league’s top prize as his peers have voted him once again the League’s Most Valuable Player Award for the Division 1 Men’s competition. Gage an American
basketball guard has dominated the league in points, scoring 601 points in 15 games, with an average of 40.5 ppg.

As per last season, opposition teams have struggled to find a way to stop Gage, including some big hauls with 49 against Queanbeyan (April 9), 49 against Shoalhaven (May 28) and 51 against Queanbeyan (June 18).

Division 1 Women

Molten Waratah League Division 1 Women MVP Rachael Murray!

Bathurst Goldminers guard Rachael Murray is the 2016 Molten Waratah League Most Valuable Player for the Division 1 Women’s competition.

Rachel is the league’s 10th top scorer with an average of 15.6 points per game, her season high score was against Tamworth Thunderbolts were she dropped 31 points.

At the time of posting this article we were unable to reach Rachael.

 

Division 1 Youth Men

Division 1 Youth Men League MVP Adrian Cabrera!

Sydney Comets guard has been voted by his peers at the 2016 Molten Waratah League Most Valuable Player for the Division 1 Youth League Men’s competition.

Adrian who plays in both the Division 1 Youth League Men's and Championship Divisions of the Molten Waratah League, playing only 14 games Adrian averaged 19.1 points per game. His highest score was against the Manly Warringah
Sea Eagles where he dropped 30 points.

Division 1 Youth League Women

Division 1 Youth Women League MVP Charlie Evans!

Central Coast guard Charlie has gone back-to-back and has been voted once again as the league’s Most Valuable Player for the Youth League Women’s competition.

Charlie who averaged 19.3 ppg and led the league is scoring with a total of 387 points, her highest score was against the South West Sydney Razorbacks where she scored 28 points.

Division 2 Youth League Men

Molten Waratah League Div 2 Youth men MVP James Andrews!

Sydney Uni Lions James Andrews has scored the league’s highest prize as he has been voted as the 2016 Molten Waratah League’s Most Valuable Player for the Division 2 Youth League Men’s competition. The 20-year-old was the 3rd in the league in scoring with 332 points, with an average of 20.8 points per game. James on the 31st of July was unstoppable where he scored 37 points against the Springwood Scorchers.
