Format announced for the 2015 Molten Waratah League

This weeks announcement of the teams and the competition format has begun the official countdown towards the start of the 2015 Molten Waratah League.

Divisions 

  • Championship Men (CM)
  • Championship Women (CW)
  • Division 1 Men (D1M)
  • Division 1 Women (D1W)
  • Division 1 Youth Men (D1YM)
  • Division 1 Youth Women (D1YW)
  • Division 2 Youth Men (D2YM)

The Championship Men's division consists of 11 teams who will play a home and away series with the top 6 teams progressing to the finals.

The Championship Women's division consists of 9 teams who will play and away series with the top 6 teams progressing to the finals.

The Division 1 Men's competition will consists of 20 teams, playing in 4 pools each team will play a total of 17 games (home and away, home or away plus crossover games) with the top 2 teams from each pool progressing to the finals.

The Division 1 Women's competition consists on 9 teams who will play home and away plus central venues, with the top 4 teams will progress to the finals.

The Division 1 Youth Men consists of 12 teams who will play a home and away series with the top 6 teams progressing to the finals.

The Division 1 Youth Women consists of 10 teams who will play home and away series with the top 6 teams progressing to the finals.

The Division 2 Youth Men consists of 10 teams who will also play home and away with the top 6 teams progressing to the finals.

About the 2015 Molten Waratah League

The 2015 Molten Waratah League will commence of February 14, with 7 divisions on offer, 81 teams will battle it out over 21 weeks of competition with a total of 736 games being played during the regular season.

The finals weekend will be held at a metropolitan venue on the 1st and 2nd of August, the venue selected for finals will be announced early next year.
