U16 Girls Win QLD Div 2 State Championship

The Rockhampton U16 Girls team has won the Division 2 Queensland Championship in Cairns over the weekend.

Rockhampton defeated Brisbane 70-61 in the Grand Final led by Brianna Bailey who poured in 30 points and Katelyn Hill who contributed 20.

Bailey led the competition with an average of 21.1 points per game while Hill was 3rd with 18.7 points per game and bottom aged player Anna Dyer finished 5th with 17.8 points per game. 

The three girls were rewarded at the end of the week with selection to the U16 Queensland North State team for Hill and Bailey, while Dyer was selected to the Emerging QLD State Team.
