Message from RBI President Steve Richards re Central Queensland WNBL BID
Rockhampton Basketball, in alignment with CQUniversity and Rockhampton Regional Council today announced that we will be submitting a bid for a WNBL license, with the end goal of having a Rockhampton WNBL team representing our region in the 2017 WNBL season.
This is an extremely exciting prospect for the City of Rockhampton and our Association. Not only with this initiative benefit our existing members, but we foresee the increased exposure to our sport in the community assisting in the recruitment of new members.
Whilst the RBI Board is excited by the prospect of having world class basketball played week in week out in our City, we want to assure our members that our number one priority is and always will be growing our memberships, building our competitions, and continuing to deliver an improved service to you, our members.
