RBI is pleased to announce that as part of our wider club development strategy we will be running a Club Coaching Course (previously referred to as the Level 1 coaches course) on Sun 8th May.
The lifeblood of any Association is its volunteers. Few volunteers have the ability to positively shape the lives of young children in the way that youth coaches do.
Being a club coach can be one of the most rewarding experiences you will have. With that said, both your experience, and the experience of the athletes you coach will be significantly improved if you are confidence in what you are teaching.
The Club Coaches Course aims to provide you with both the knowledge and tools required to get started on your coaching journey.
What You’ll Learn:
- The Role of the Coach (Traditional v New Coaches Model)
- Teaching Individual Skills (Shooting, Passing, Dribbling, Offensive Footwork, Defensive Footwork, Rebound)
- Running a Training Session (Utilizing Game Sense and other Training Strategies)
- Team Offense (Introducing Read & React to U10’s-U16’s)
- Team Defense (Introducing Pack D to U10’s-U16’s)
- Introduction to Game Coaching (Pre-game, timeouts, subbing, post-game)
