Rockhampton Basketball have partnered with CQUniversity as part of a study to identify the barriers preventing Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders from participating in Physical Activity.  The research team are looking for 14 Indigenous and 14 non-Indigenous adults to complete a short survey relating to the study.

In return for your participation, CQUniversity will cover your registration/playing fees for the remainder of the 2016 Winter Season competition (or provide a $125 voucher to put towards our Summer season).

All that is required of you is to complete a short interview to discuss your thoughts and opinions on the barriers you face in being physically active.

For example, we want to know:

1. How much do you think resources (things like money, accessibility to places to be active, safety of community) impact your decisions to be active or not?
2. Are there things about the person you are (eg your personality, fitness level) that make it difficult to be active?
3. Are there things about the community or your neighbourhood that make it difficult to be active?

You don’t need to be a physical activity expert, nor be really physically active. All we want is your honest and unbiased opinion!

The interview will be held at the Rockhampton Basketball Incorporated Stadium and will take approximately 20 min to 1 hour.
