U10 Competition to implement new rule

Effective Round One – Winter 2013 Season

Concept:

  • To help U10 players with the concept of “man to man” defence and to help try and spread the floor RBI will be implementing coloured wrist bands into the U10 competition.
  • Each player on the court will receive a coloured wrist band to wear; the opposition player with the same coloured wrist band is the person they play defence on.
  • This is designed to help spread the floor and give the offensive player with the ball the space to practice their dribbling, passing and shooting skills.

Implementation:

  • Each team will be handed a set of wrist band at the beginning of the game. These must be handed back to the person that gave them out at the conclusion of the game.
  • As a player is substituted they need to swap over their wrist bands.
  • There is no penalty if a player cannot find their matchup but referees will facilitate by helping players to find their matchup.

That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
