Australia's Tallest Man signs with Hume City Broncos for Bigv Season 2015

After playing 2014 with Craigieburn Eagles in Big V Division 1 league, Australia’s tallest man Kewal Shiels has jumped at the opportunity to be mentored by childhood idol Lanard Copeland at the Hume City Broncos in Big V Championship division.

Standing at 224cm tall, Kewal has an abundance of the one skill that can’t be taught in basketball – Height. Stepping up to the Championship division this year will see Kewal face tougher competition on a constant basis. Head Coach of the Hume City Broncos, Lanard Copeland said “Kewal is a big guy who has played some good basketball, but has the potential to play some great basketball. This season we’ll be looking to develop him as a player, by taking advantage of his height and increasing his overall game so he can become a contributor at both ends of the floor”.

Since signing with Hume City, Kewal (who averaged 11.7 points and 8.9 rebounds per game last season at Craigieburn) has been working out both on court and in the gym to prepare for reaching all new heights in 2015.

Further player signings will be announced in the near future.
