Currently in the women's side, Rockingham’s Ryan Petrik and Willetton’s Simon Parker are both guaranteed coaching roles with the South All-Stars, however it will just depend on this weekend’s results as to who will take the lead role.

The Flames currently sit on top of the standings with a record of 7 wins and 1 loss with a double header against the Perth Redbacks and Mandurah Magic awaiting them this weekend. Should the Flames win both games, Ryan Petrik is guaranteed the head coaching role for the South All-Stars.

The Tigers sit in second position on the standings having only dropped one game this season holding a record of 6 & 1. Willetton will face the Senators and the Hawks this weekend in their double header and if the Flames drop one of their games, the Tigers could take top position in the standings which would mean Parker would be the head coach of the South All-Stars.

In the North side it will be between the Hawks coach CJ Jackson and Wolves coach Craig Friday to take the coaching reigns.

CJ Jackson and the Perry Lakes Hawks currently sit in third position on the ladder with a record of 6 wins and 1 loss. The Hawks will face the Tigers in Willetton and a win would not only potentially see his team jump into the top position in the standings but also guarantee Jackson the head coaching role of the North All-Star team.

Craig Friday’s Joondalup Wolves are on a bye in week 8 as the Men head to Goldfields to take on the Giants. The Wolves currently hold a record of 5 wins and 1 loss, therefore if the Tigers can defeat the Hawks on Saturday night, Friday will be named the North All-Star head coach for 2016.

The SBL All-Star Games will take place at the Bendat Basketball Centre on the ‘WA Day’ Monday Public Holiday, June 6 at the Bendat Basketball Centre.

The SBL has partnered with Kiewit Australia for this event and proceeds will go to Lifeline WA to prevent people from suicide.

The Women's All-Star game will tip off at 12pm with the Men's game is scheduled for a 2pm start.

Tickets sold at the door: $10 Adult and $5 Child or Concession with proceeds to Lifeline WA.
