MSBL Player of the Week

THE week eight Men’s SBL Player of the Week has been awarded to Trian Iliadis of the Merriwa Tavern & Bistro City of Joondalup Wolves.

It was only a matter of time before we saw Trian Iliadis explode like he did when he was named Grand Final MVP last season and unfortunately for the Goldfields Giants this was the week he turned it on.

Iliadis was unstoppable for the Wolves as he knocked down seven triples on his way to a game high 39 points to go with 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals and a block leading his team to a road win over Goldfields 115 to 95.

There seems to be no championship hangover for the Joondalup Wolves this year who currently sit top of the standings having dropped just one game of eight this season with Iliadis a major contributor averaging 21.1 points, 3.7 assists and 3.1 steals per game.
