Registrations for the Winter 2015 Domestic season are due by 22nd February to ensure a place in a team!

And at the same time as you register for the domestic season, you can also:

• make a small donation to our Community Liaison project. As you are probably aware, Collingwood Basketball has a strong community focus and a commitment to ensuring all young people can have an opportunity to play basketball. If you would like to support this, we would be grateful if you could make a donation by selecting the relevant item when registering 

Winter 2015 season

Collingwood Basketball Association will have girls and boys teams playing in the Eastern Districts Junior Basketball Association Winter 2015 season. The season begins on Saturday 18th April.

Registrations are due by 22nd February. Players who do not register by this date may not be placed in a team. A late fee of $20 per player is payable after 22nd February if a place is available.

The season dates are:

• 18th April - 22nd August
• No matches 25th April, 4th & 11th July
• Finals 29th August - 12th September

Age groups for the Winter season are:

• U9   - players born in 2006 or later
• U11 - players born in 2004 or 2005
• U13 - players born in 2002 or 2003
• U15 - players born in 2000 or 2001
• U17 - players born in 1998 or 1999
• U19 - players born between 1st July 1995 and 31st December 1997

The club’s guidelines regarding the selection of domestic teams, including the policy regarding players playing in their own age group, is available here.

Registration fees per family are:

• Registered and paid by 22nd February: 1 player $125, 2 players $230, 3 players $335. Discount of $10 per player if registered online (preferred).
• Registered or paid AFTER 22nd February (if places available): 1 player $145, 2 players $270, 3 players $395. Discount of $10 per player if registered online (preferred).

Playing fee is $7.50 per week.

Domestic shorts are $40 and singlets are $50.

Girls training is usually on Monday nights and boys training is usually on Thursday nights.

Registration Process for Winter 2015 Domestic Teams - Online Preferred

Registrations are preferred online and must be received by 22nd February to ensure placement in a team. A discount of $10 per player applies to online registrations. Payments can be made via Visa or Mastercard. See further information below.

Registrations can also be made:

• At the Registration Day on Saturday 14th February at Collingwood College stadium (McCutcheon Way, Collingwood) 10.30 am – 3.00 pm
• By mail or fax until 22nd February
• At the canteen at Collingwood stadium until 21st February

Registration details must be filled in and payment made to complete registration. The registration form is attached (though online registration is preferred).

Things to note when registering:

• The club considers completion of the registration to be a commitment to playing, so as a courtesy to others, please don’t register players if they are not sure about their ability to commit to playing. Generally we do not provide refunds except in exceptional circumstances. The club’s refund policy ishere
• In the section regarding team placement, if a player wants to play with friends, please list UP TO THREE friends by name. DO NOT say “with current team” – we will interpret that as meaning that the player wants to stay with a member of the current team and doesn’t care who. If this is not the case, tell us who they would PREFER to be with
• If a player will be unavailable for part of a season (for example due to camps, family holidays, exchange etc), please ensure that this information is provided in the Playing DATES not available section. This information will be used to try to ensure the team remains viable when that player is away
• If a player is unable to play at certain times of the day (for example due to other sport or activity or work commitments), please ensure that this information, including the reason, is provided in the Playing TIMES not available section. Please be specific, eg "not available until 1pm, language school til 12.30pm". Note that 11.50 is considered a PM game so if a player is unavailable till noon or 12.30 please tell us. This information will be used to try to place the player in a team which can play at appropriate times, however we cannot always guarantee that games will always be fixtured at a suitable time. We are also not always able to change a team time request if an individual’s availability changes so please provide as much information as possible in the registration

Online Registration

Here's what you need to know about online registration

• First choose the number of players you wish to register
• If the first player has been registered online before (for any of our programs), choose "I would like to request my username and password", and then choose "I have registered previously and I know my username and password". You will only need to change details relevant to this season and then pay
• If the player hasn’t been registered online previously choose "I am registering for the first time"
• It is now possible to enter details for multiple family members and make one payment at the end. Some contact details are transferred from the first player to the second.
  • Choose the number of players you wish to register
  • Complete the details for the first player and choose the $115 registration fee
  • If the second player has previously registered online, choose "I would like to request my username and password" and then "I have registered previously and I know my username and password", otherwise choose "I am registering for the first time". Some contact details will be transferred automatically to the second player - please check that all details are correct
  • For additional players, choose the $95 registration fee
• Each player has a separate username and password Do NOT use the same username and password for a second player - you will not be able to change the name and date of birth
• You must pay by VISA or MasterCard. The bank processing fee for online registration will be added to the registration fee

New players who have played with another EDJBA club must be cleared by their previous club. To organise this please contact Megan Rouse at manager@collingwoodbasketball.com.au. before the first game of the season (18th April).
