Successful Training Camp
The Goannas had a successful training camp over the weekend at the VU facilities at the Whitten Oval.
Intense sessions were the order of the weekend under coach Matt Dunstan and assistant Paul Batten.
Players and parents were supplied with information in preparation for the Asia/Pacific tournament in May-June. Thankyou to Phyllis Betsas from Basketball Australia and Gavin Balharrie from DSA for attending and giving the team encouragement. We would like to also thank all parents for their assistance during the weekend and in particular Stephanie McDonald for her unique basketball interpreting skills - thanks Shorty.
Highlight of the weekend was watching 10 young men trying on their playing uniforms and associated clothing. If only their mothers could have seen them.
