BRESSOW LEADS QUEENSLAND SOUTH TO SILVER

Coach Bressow explaining a defensive drill

Deaf Basketball Australia would like to warmly congratulate Janelle Bressow, for securing a 2nd placing for her under 18 Queensland South team at the recently concluded under 18 Australian Junior Championships held at Forestville in Adelaide, South Australia.

Deaf Basketball Australia took a keen interest in Janelle's team and their journey during the tournament and was pleased to see Janelle coach her team to victory in several close games and take out second placing after the pool games, and getting set for the finals. Her team won through to the gold medal game where they came up against Victoria Metro - however her team were not able to avenge defeat and succumbed to their second loss in several games over the course of the week, taking out the silver medal.

On behalf of Deaf Basketball Australia, congratulations to Janelle and her talented and dedicated team of girls! We hope Janelle's success will have a flow on effect to our National Women's team, the Gecko's.
