Shepparton was bitterly disappointing last week.
It was probably one of its worst performances of the year and at the same time a missed opportunity for the group to create a bit of history.
The Bears were chasing a fourth straight win for the first time since the start of 2009 and a win against the Demons could have also allowed them to finish above them at season’s end.
Mitchell Brett, Timothy Kelly, Liam Duguid, Stuart Hobijn-Allen and Matthew Shannon were some of the few guys who could hold their head high following last week’s loss.
After a shaky start to the game, the Swans blitzed the Cats.
BJ Squires, Tyson Sidebottom, Justin Maddern (five goals), Brady Childs, Andrew Riordan, Quade Johnstone and Mitch Bell were some of the key players in the win for the reigning premier.
The Swans will be aiming to take winning form into the finals and they get the opportunity to maybe try and few things given they can’t drop out of the six.
