Olympian to Mentor Hoops 4 Health Youth

Beijing Olympian and former Australian Opal, Rohanee Cox will mentor Hoops 4 Health juniors during the Arafura Games.

Cox was part of the original Hoops 4 Health team in 2006 and will suit up for the Hoops 4 Health Women’s team in the upcoming Arafura Games.

Whilst in Darwin, the mother of two will provide valuable leadership and mentoring support to players like Jaylene Bonson, Justine Schmidt and Mishy Friel.

Rohanee Cox,

“I like to set an example for our young women that are coming through the junior ranks and set an example for them to follow. Goals are achievable and my knowledge and leadership will help them to pursue their dreams. It’s an honour to play an represent Hoops 4 Health, just getting the word out to our people about healthy eating, healthy living so we all live longer.”

The Hoops 4 Health Team will be coached by local Rebels boss, Sharon Ahchee and assisted by Brian Lawrie and Glenn Warrior.
