LFNC team makes the top 4 at Nationals

Wow what a week at LFNC Nationals. The Dion, Pelesa, Kelly and the team headed off to Waitakere with a strong team bond and culture happening and were determined to push their campaign to the max. They certainly did this and they did the centre proud.

Mid week a number of the team took sick and the team Manager Kelly Herbert was Nurse Maude extrodinaire and kept all but one of the girls well enough to take the court for the remainder of the week. The girls themselves showed strong spirit by keeping going as well and this told a lot about what the girls and the management were wanting to acheive at Nationals.

They had a big challenge on Wednesday when they came up against last years defending champions Dunedin. The team took this on with gusto and beat them with a solid margin which put them into the top 4. Celebrations all round - BUT - their hunger didn't stop there as they wanted to aim for as high as they could go and knew that the next 2 days would be hard fought games. Unfortuantely North Harbour and Hamilton were hitting their strides and we couldn't quite pip them at the post.

Dion, Pelesa, Kelly and the girls should all be very proud of themselves and the results they achieved throughout the week. We now have a a solid base for us to work on for 2015 and already the planning behind the scenes is happening.

NWC will be hosting the LFNC in 2015 so this gives added hunger to where we want to be in 2015.

Thanks to you all and everything you gave to ths campaign.
