If you enjoy playing netball but aren't quite ready to take the step up to the adults Twilight League then why not give our Teen League a try?

Reunite your old school/rep team or how about piecing together an awesome mix of friends for a bit of a laugh and keep on playing indoors all year long!  There's even mixed grades so you can include your sporty guy pals for some fun! It's a brilliant idea for a pre-season warm-up or off-season warm-down and an easy way to keep your fitness levels up in anticipation for next season.

It doesn’t matter if your friends go to different schools, whether you play in an existing team or have never played the awesome sport of netball before. All-Girl grade and Mixed grade available.  Maybe even suitable for Year 8 teams who crave a bit of a challenge.  Rally the troops, come up with an awesome team name, create a stunning uniform if you fancy and be sure to enter a team!

We run an 8 week competition with games played on Thursdays between 5.20pm and 8.00pm at the Kilbirnie ASB Sports Centre. Balls, bibs, umpires and prizes all sorted for you - all you need to do is get yourselves there!  Games are held indoors rain or shine.

Venue: ASB Sports Centre, 72 Kemp Street, Kilbirnie, Wellington
When: Thursdays for 8 weeks in Term 4
Game Times: 5.20pm, 6.10pm or 7.05pm. Last round finishes by 8.00pm.
First Game: Thursday 22nd October 2015
Last Game: Thursday 10th December 2015
Aimed at: Guys and Girls in Years 9 & 10
Grades: All-Girl and Mixed
Game duration: 40 minutes – 4 x 10 minute quarters
Balls, bibs, and umpires all provided for you!

Cost:
$320 per team paid up-front in advance
plus $10 cash per game collected prior to the game each week as an Umpire Contribution.  This payment goes directly to the umpires on the night so EFTPOS can not be accepted for this payment.  Please try to bring the correct change. 
Alternatively teams are welcome to pay the Umpire Contribution in full as $80 cash in full up-front to the Registration Desk on the first day of competition as per above.

Grades/Venues:
Entries will be accepted for individual school year teams (Year 9 or Year 10) or combined year teams.  In the case where there are a mixture of players the team will likely be placed in an age group appropriate to the oldest member of the team (ie, play up) unless otherwise requested.

Please note that leagues are subject to a minimum number of entries.
If team numbers are insufficient, grades or venues/competitions may be combined. Teams will be advised of this if this is necessary.

Online registrations will open in late September before the end of Term 3 or find the Teen League widget featured on the right hand side of our website homepage.

Fee Payment
Teams are requested to pay in full up-front prior to the start of the league in order to secure a space. Teams may be invoiced (upon request) and places confirmed via email once paid in full.

Looking for a team to join?
While it is easy to accommodate a whole team, there are sometimes teams who are looking for individuals to fill-ins or make up numbers. Keen to umpire and earn some pocket-money?
Umpires receive a contribution of $8.00 per game on the night. This is a great way to get some more umpiring practice, develop your confidence as a Kiwi Whistler or progress towards your Elementary Badge and keep up your skills and fitness in the off-season while making yourself a little pocket-money.
