2016 Dominion Post Wellington Sportsperson of the Year Awards

 

There's only 2 weeks left to nominate for the Sport Wellington Sportsperson of the Year Awards 2016!

As you may already know, nominations are now open for the Sport Wellington Sportsperson of the Year Awards 2016. With nominations closing on Monday 2nd May at 5pm, there is only a couple of weeks left to compile and submit your nominations - don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to reward your achievers and celebrate success in your sport!
 
Please encourage nominations from your board, committees, clubs, managers, officials, coaches and administrators. This is a chance to not only showcase your high performance sportspeople but to also shine a light on the administrators, volunteers and officials who make your sport happen. This is your sport’s opportunity to celebrate its successes and to recognise your champions!
 
Sport Wellington welcomes nominations from the general public, sports organisations and the media in the following 12 categories:

Sportswoman
Sportsman
Coach
Team
Administrator 
Volunteer

Disabled Sportsperson
Emerging Sportsman
Emerging Sportswoman
Club
Official
Lifetime Achievement

 This year’s key dates are: 

  • Nominations open: Thursday 31 March 2016
  • Nominations close: Monday 2 May 2016 at 5pm
  • Achievement period: 8 April 2015 - 11 April 2016
  • Finalists are announced: Thursday 19 May 2016
  • Awards evening: Wednesday 15 June 2016 - TSB Bank Arena
