AFL Ontario has had a record 29 players selected to represent Team Canada in two games against the USA over the August long weekend.
The games will be played in Fort Lauderdale, Florida as part of the annual 49th Parallel Cup matches between USA and Canada. USA are the current holders of the Parallel Cup.
Head Coach Cody Royle added "From an AFL Ontario perspective what I'm most pleased about is clubs like the Rebels, Roos and Hawks, who had zero players come with us to the International Cup last year, but have rebounded and had multiple guys selected to this team. It shows a real commitment towards developing Canadian talent and pushing them up through the talent pipeline".
AFL Canada is working with USAFL on video streaming for the games and details will be released closer to the event.
