If AFL Ontario does it, it must be cool, right?
If you have a Twitter account, join up with the league's subscription here and get involved, promote team events, talk about your great win, rant about your loss! And it doesn't have to be all about footy -- get your new business name out there. Need a plumber? Do a shout out.
It's also a great way to keep tabs on other teams' scores from the weekend. So, if you feel so inclined in 2012, if you tweet your results, use the following hashtag: #oaflr1, #oaflr2, #oaflr3, etc.. That way, the rest of the league can see results as they come in and can stay in the loop over the weekend!
Here are some of the more active and interesting AFL Ontario players on Twitter:
Cody Royle @codyroyle (Broadview Hawks)
Trav McKenzie @TM_in_TO (Etobicoke Roos)
Charles Thompson @cthompson13 (Hamilton Wildcats)
Greg Everett @b52bomberGreg (AFL Ontario Umpire)
Jimmy Duggan @james_duggan (Toronto Dingos)
Give 'em a follow!
Each week, the OAFL will be sifting through the Twitter-sphere and plucking some of the best tweets going 'round by our players. Got a comment on a game you watched over the weekend? Tweet about it. Why was it great? Who was best on ground? What was the turning point? We all have opinions -- let's share them! Let's take the conversations we're having in our lounge rooms and bring them to AFL Ontario Twittergroup!
