We have lights
This project is part a bigger program to replace all the lights with more energy efficent ones. As this is a large cost, over $26,000, we have been applying for grants to cover the costs. Also a second program is in place to install solar panels on the roof. This cost is over $20,000 which we are applying for grants.
The goal is to reduce the costs of electricity by 50% of the current bill of $20,000 each year and increasing as the utilizitation of the centre in improving.
This electricity costs has caused an increase in fees, which has started with the Futsal season and will flow onto netball and basketball when they start back in the new year.
