National Coach Education Workshops

Football Federation SA (FFSA) in conjunction with Football Federation Australia, will conduct National Coach Education Workshops this year in an effort to provide local coaches with additional, easily accessible and relevant coach education opportunities.

The seminars will be delivered in a variety of formats, including informal speaking engagements, on field practical sessions, classroom theory discussions and town meeting style coach forums.

These Workshops will be a valuable resource for all coaches working in the National Premier Leagues and High Performance area, as well as aspiring coaches currently at the Community level.

FFSA understands the importance in providing coaches with the necessary tools to enable their players to reach their full potential and world-class coach education is the first step in reaching the goal for nurturing world-class players.

FFSA will conduct 5 workshops this year and coaches will gain 10 points for every workshop attended towards reaccreditation within the 4yr validation period of their Licence.

Registration for the Workshops is mandatory and completed using My Football Club.

Advanced Coaching Licence Revalidation

The information in this document takes effect from January 1st, 2014, and supersedes all prior documents.

Overview

FFA Advanced Coaching Licences are valid (accredited) for four consecutive years.

During this four year period, coaches are required to gain 100 points of “Continued Professional Development” to have their licence revalidated for a further four years.

If at the end of the four-year accreditation period the coach has not accumulated the required number of points or attended the next level of Advanced licence, their current Advanced licence will no longer be valid and the coach will then be considered to have no current accreditation.

If a licence is not currently valid, the coach can regain their accredited status by completing 100 points of “Continued Professional Development”. As soon as 100 points have been gained, a coach’s licence will be deemed to be valid.
