2016 Country State Futsal Talent Identification Championships

Pt Augusta is again set to host the Country State Futsal Talent Identification Championships (CSFTIC) this coming Sunday the 10th of July 2016. Central Oval Community Sporting Hub in Pt Augusta will host the best regional futsal talent from across the state with boys and girls competing from U12’s through to U16’s. This year will see several teams representing Jamestown, Roxby Downs, Yorke Peninsula, Pt. Pirie, Pt. Augusta and the Adelaide Hills.

The Country Futsal Championships is the first step in the process for selection for the 2017 National Futsal Championships. The aim is to identify potential regional talent in which the most promising country futsal players will be invited to compete in the State Futsal Championships to be held in Adelaide on October 8 and 9, 2016. Last year two players of note competed in the inaugural Country Futsal Championships; both Phillip Cash from Whyalla and Patrick Cummings from Port Pirie were selected for the 2016 National Futsal Championships where South Australia found great success.

FFSA would like to wish all of the players, coaches, referees and volunteers a successful weekend.
