VALE: Charlie DiDomenico (1944-2015)

It was with much sadness that Bell Park Soccer Club announced the passing of long time club stalwart and former president, Charlie DiDomenico, at its Annual General Meeting last Friday.

In recent years, Charlie was a regular attendee at the Batesford based club on game days and on Thursday nights, taking his pride of place as a much loved member of the Old Boy's Rat Pack.

Charlie was a Life Member of the club and served as President for seven years from 1989-1995 and was a general committee member in 1996. He was also the Chairman in 1988, his first official role at his beloved Bell Park.

Charlie is survived by his wife Egle (Eggie) and their four sons, Paul, Michael, Jason and Damien.

On behalf of the entire soccer community of Geelong, our deepest condolences to the family of the late Charlie DiDomenico and to everyone at the Bell Park Soccer Club.
