NEWS: Geelong's Galaxy United accepted into inaugural WNPL

FOOTBALL Federation Victoria on Wednesday night announced the eight clubs to be offered licences for the inaugural PlayStation® 4 Women’s National Premier Leagues competition (PS4 WNPL).

Among the lucky eight clubs is a local Geelong club - GALAXY UNITED FC - which was a joint bid by the Greater Geelong Galaxy FC and Surf Coast FC.

The formation of the PS4 WNPL, set to start in 2016, marks a new era for female football in Victoria.

The eight clubs to form the inaugural PS4 WNPL Victoria are:
Galaxy United (Geelong), FC Bulleen Lions, Heidelberg United, Melbourne United (Ashburton), Box Hill United, Keilor United, Bayside United and Southern United (Greater Frankston area).
