COMMUNITY COACH EDUCATION COORDINATORS

Football NSW is seeking four Community Coach Education Coordinators.

Coach Education is a key component of Football NSW's Football Development Plan. Coaches at all levels play a crucial role in ensuring that football is an enjoyable experience for everyone, as well as laying the foundation for the development of better players. Community Coaching Courses are short, affordable and locally available for those coaching local amateur teams whereas the Advanced Coaching Courses are long, intensive courses aimed at those who intend to become Professional Coaches.

Football NSW plan to engage four Community Coach Education Coordinators (CCEC) to service and support the local Football Associations and their clubs to provide best practice education courses for their coaches and learning environments for their players. The CCEC’s will be allocated a number of Football Associations to whom they will be responsible for supporting. The Community Coach Education Coordinator’s will be responsible for assisting the Community Coach Education Manager (CEM) in facilitating high quality Community Coach Education programs throughout the Football NSW community.

The CCEC will be responsible for partnering with Clubs and Associations in Sydney and Regional NSW to deliver the highest standard Coach Education programs, including:

  • Developing and delivering a professional Community Coach Education Program consistent with FFA guidelines
  • Organising regular update sessions for Club Coaching Coordinators and Association Technical Directors
  • Establishing an effective mentoring program for identified Coaches and Coach Educators in all areas of football, futsal and Goalkeeping
  • Monitoring progress of the Coach education network within the State through regular contact with Associations and Clubs, and
  • Conducting assessments, courses, seminars and workshops as directed by the CEM.
