Gippsland Needs Soccer Referees
Love football but can't play as much as you want to?
Well, you're not the only one, more and more people of all ages, genders, races and abilities are getting into refereeing.
There are plenty of great things about being a referee. You actively participate in the sport you love, you help raise the standard of the game, you develop a network of friends, you develop your management and communication skills and you get paid.
Referees are an integral part of soccer, and if you're male or female aged 13 years or more, you can join this specialised and important side of our game.
Gippsland (West, South, Central and East branches) provides a great support network to assist you in realising your refereeing goals. A number of courses have been established which provide a pathway for you to develop from a beginner through to State, Premier and National leagues.
Obtaining your accreditation (4 steps).
- Complete the Online Laws of the Game Certificate (Prerequisite to the course)
- Find a course and Register for a Level 4 course
- Register as a Level 4 referee on My Football Club
- Your regional branch will coach you through two on field assessments and mark you as competent and accredited
