Gippsland Soccer League Skill Development Programs

Skills Building Program Commencing October 2014

The Gippsland Soccer League is pleased to announce the introduction of a ‘Skills Building Program’ for the Central & East Gippsland divisions. Both divisions together with South Gippsland will come together under the newly formed Gippsland Soccer League Skill Development Programs structure.

The ‘Skills Building Program’ will offer talented young players the opportunity to develop their football skills based on FFA’s National Curriculum and focusing on the four core skills (1 v 1, First Touch, Passing/Striking & Running with the Ball). There will also be a Ball Mastery component added into the program.

The ‘Skills Building Program’ will be open to all talented young boys & girls as per the following:

Boys who are born:              1st January 2002 - 31st December 2005

Girls who are born:              1st January 2000 – 31st December 2004

The program will run from the 20th October – 26th November 2014 and Trials & Parent Information Sessions for the ‘Skills Building Program’ are per the following details:

Central Gippsland
Player Trial Dates: 
                 Monday 13th October & Wednesday 15th October 2014
Venue:                                     Latrobe City Stadium, Crinigan Rd Morwell
Times:                                      5.30pm (sharp) – 7.00pm
Parent Information Session:    Monday 13th October 2014 (6.00pm)

East Gippsland
Player Trial Dates:                Wednesday 15th & Friday 17th October 2014
Venue:                                  East Gippsland United FC, Howitt Park, Bairnsdale
Times:                                   5.30pm (sharp) – 7.00pm
Parent Information Session: Wednesday 15th October2014 (6.00pm)
