The Gippsland Soccer League is currently seeking an Expression of Interest from South Gippsland Coaches who may be interested in joining the FFA Skills Acquisition Program. This is a great opportunity for any motivated coaches who wish to get involved in the South Gippsland SAP and also those wishing to develop their coaching skills further.

Coaches will need to or have completed or in the process of attending the FFA Skills Training Certificate Coaching Course. Successful applicants will be duly assisted by current South SAP Head Coach Michael Van Der Swet and Coach Paul Plenkovich.

The South SAP is currently one of three pillars of Gippsland, which also includes the East and Central divisions.  It forms the foundation for identification of talented young Boys & Girls and provide the necessary technical ‘tools’ to players in order to help them be able to play the game at the highest possible level. It will also allow players the opportunity to develop their football skills based on FFA’s National Curriculum focusing on functional game skills around 1 v 1, First Touch, Passing/Striking & Running with the Ball.

The program has been well established and successfully operating since in the South division since 2013 with over 60 players participating during this period. The 2015 SAP ‘Winter Program ‘will run from April through to September with two sessions allocated per week and also included three Gala Days during the course of the year.
