GSL Club Coaching Visits

In a further effort to help support and develop Junior Coaches across the Gippsland region, GSL would like to offer all GSL Clubs the opportunity of a ‘Club Coaching Visit’ by coaches from the Skills Acquisition Programs (SAP) and Emerging Talent Program (ETP).

The visits will focus on playing groups who currently fall in the Skills Acquisition Phase (9-13yrs) and Game Training Phase (13-17yrs), with the aim to create a stronger understanding of the FFA Coaching & Player Development while also encouraging a greater number of GSL Junior Coaches to take on FFA Community & Advanced Coaching Courses.

This is a great opportunity for Club coaches to work alongside our SAP and ETP coaching staff, who will be more than happy to assist or conduct training sessions as required. This will also open up  opportunities for Club Coaches to ask questions regarding and concerns that may have with their specific age groups.

It will also hopefully create a stronger relationship between ‘Community Football’ and the ‘Talented Player’ pathways and build a better understanding and awareness with the added benefits of working together across our football community.

The visits will run during the months of June & July and are free to all Clubs. The ‘Club Coaching Visits’ will be also followed by a ‘Coach Workshop’ which will allow Club coaches the opportunity to observe and assist with the SAP & ETP Coaches during their training sessions and will be followed by a Q & A session. Date for the workshop will be released in due course.

If you would like to register for a GSL ‘Club Coaching Visit’ please  complete the registration form below and for any further enquires please feel free to contact Mark Cassar directly on 0478 879 304
