BVDL WEEK 10 GAME PREVIEWS

BVDL MEN

FRANKSTON vs KNOX

Saturday 26th May – 7:30pm

With a 6-0 road record, first place on the ladder and a six game win streak, Knox should enter this game fully confident they can secure the win.

SANDRINGHAM vs KILSYTH

Saturday 26th May – 7:30pm

Both teams are on a winning streak, and both will be keen to secure the win.  Sandringham need the win to stay in touch of the top four, and Kilsyth need the win to stay in touch of first place on the ladder.

BENDIGO vs BALLARAT

Saturday 26th May – 8:00pm

Both have won two of their past five games, Bendigo has a 2-3 record at home, but Ballarat also has a 2-3 record on the road.  Both teams match up well, so this game should be a close encounter for the full 40mins.

BALLARAT vs FRANKSTON

Sunday 27th May – 1:45pm

Both teams will enter the game tired after games the previous night, so bench depth will play a crucial part in determining the game’s final outcome.  Frankston are not a good offensive team so they will need to limit the scoring opportunities of the Miners if they want to secure the win.

KNOX vs BENDIGO

Sunday 27th May – 2:00pm

This is another game the first placed Raiders should win, and coach Scott Christiansen will be determined to win.  The Raiders beat Bendigo comfortably in rd3 and have improved in recent weeks.

KILSYTH vs DANDENONG

Sunday 27th May – 2:30pm

Kilsyth have been in impressive form this season with Murphy, Reinbott and Adnam giving opposition coaches numerous headaches.  Dandenong has the potential to be a top two team, but have had trouble closing out games against the higher placed teams.  The Rangers can win this game, but will need to stop the Cobras big three to do so..

NUNAWADING vs SANDRINGHAM

Sunday 27th May – 2:30pm

This is a tough week for the Sabres with two games against quality opposition.  But if they truly believe they can win the Championship this year the Sabres need to secure two wins this weekend.  They have the talent and an experienced coach in Mark Chivers, so the Sabres fate is in their own hands.

BVDL WOMEN

FRANKSTON vs KNOX

Saturday 26th May – 7:30pm

Knox only beat Frankston by 11pts in round 10 and without May, Tarabolsi and Whelan may struggle against the Lady Blues.  Frankston need to keep winning to stay in the playoff hunt.

SANDRINGHAM vs KILSYTH

Saturday 26th May – 7:30pm

Lady Cobras head coach Ed Dunstan will be keen to put an end to their eight game losing streak this week against the also struggling Sabres.  Sandringham will need to rely on Shannon Perrett once again to secure the win.

BENDIGO vs BALLARAT

Saturday 26th May – 8:00pm

Bendigo have improved remarkably over the season, and will look to secure another win over the Rush after defeating them by 3pts in rd5 already this season..

BALLARAT vs FRANKSTON

Sunday 27th May – 1:45pm

Ballarat have been very inconsistent all season, but have shown they have the potential to win games over higher placed teams.  This is a game the Rush could win, and should win on their home court.

KNOX vs BENDIGO

Sunday 27th May – 2:00pm

Bendigo are hanging around in fifth place, but need to secure wins over the top four teams to prove their playoff worth. Bendigo has won four of their past five matches and have the ability to cause the upset and beat Knox at home.

KILSYTH vs DANDENONG

Sunday 27th May – 2:30pm

Dandenong returned to the winning column last week and shouldn’t be troubled by the Lady Cobras this week, who have lost their past eight.

NUNAWADING vs SANDRINGHAM

Sunday 27th May – 2:30pm

Nunawading are the form team of the competition behind a nine game winning streak, and should continue their win streak this week over lower ranked Sabres.
